Tickets for Hamilton at DPAC go on sale in December

DURHAM, N.C. — Tickets for the Broadway smash Hamilton at the Durham Performing Arts Center will go on sale to the general public on Dec. 2.

The show will return to DPAC from May 17-June 5, 2022, as part of WRAL's Greatest Hits of Broadway series.

Tickets go on sale to at 10 a.m., Dec. 2, online at DPACnc.com and Ticketmaster.com, and in-person at the DPAC box office at 123 Vivian St. in Durham.

Tickets will range in price from $48 to $179. A select number of premium seats will be available starting at $199 for all performances. There will be a $10 seat lottery for 40 tickets for each show. Details of the lottery will be announced closer to the show's opening date.

When "Hamilton" played DPAC in 2018, tickets quickly sold out and ranged in price from $78 to $400. A ticket lottery was also held for that series of shows.

"Hamilton" tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War. The musical is known for its hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway music.

"Hamilton" is among a host of Broadway shows headed to DPAC in 2021 and 2022.
