Hello Tuesday.
April 23 2024
Yesterday, the RALtoday team got a sneak peak of John Chavis Memorial Park’s recent renovations and were able to check out the project firsthand.
Using funds from a 2014 parks bond, the park built a new 2-story community center, with a full-size gymnasium, fitness center + numerous meeting spaces. The center will host multiple community programs, like open-play pickleball.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a new central plaza, including a water feature and an inclusive playground for all ages + abilities.
