Hello Tuesday.
April 23 2024
Gov. Roy Cooper has signed a proclamation officially designating October 2021 as NC Beer Month.
Beginning with the state’s first microbrewery in 1986 (Weeping Radish, now located in Grandy), NC’s independent craft beer industry has grown to over 300 breweries. Known as “The State of Southern Beer,” NC ranks among the nation’s top 10 craft beer states and NC’s craft beer industry contributes more than $2.7 billion to the state’s economy — supporting 18,000+ jobs.
