Meats + fixins’
Head to Larry’s Super Market (2041 Milburnie Rd.) to stock up on ground beef + ribs. While you’re there, find fresh produce, condiments, beer, and wine. Bonus: Check out the shop’s market specials for deals on large meat packs.
The Butcher’s Market at Millbrook (there’s another Raleigh location in Bedford Village) offers a wide selection of top tier meat and seafood options like all beef hotdogs + bacon and cheddar burger patties. Plus, The Butcher’s Market has condiments and rubs, prepared sides like potato salad and baked beans, and charcoal. Pro tip: Order online to save time.
Visit Weaver Street Market (404 W. Hargett St.) for fresh-baked hamburger rolls and hot dog buns. While you’re there, grab some NC shrimp for shish kabobs.

| Desserts
It’s not a proper summer grill out without plenty of dessert options. Order a Key Lime cake or Pig Pickin’ cake from Burney’s Sweets and More — both feature fruit-forward flavors that are both sweet and refreshing.
Up your dessert game with a dozen mint brownies and pink lemonade cookies from Sweetheart Treats (10930 Raven Ridge Rd.). But don’t stop there — take home an order of rice cereal treats for a nostalgic sweet treat that all ages will enjoy.
If you have a place to keep things chilled, ice cream is the perfect addition to any summer grill out. FRESH. Local Ice Cream (6033 Glenwood Ave.) offers a variety of flavors that have been made using local, hormone-free milk from free range cows. Pro tip: Order banana pudding ice cream; it features banana ice cream, banana puree + soft vanilla wafers.

Go ahead and get the gang together. Share this with the friends and family you’ll be grilling out with. |
